This morning seemed like its gonna rain, cold wind and had an extremely strong urge not to attend. But I knew I had to, because i think it has been a month since my last event, SD84km. So yeah this will be a good and easy start. I took part in the biathlon, a sprint to be exact.
Was expecting the swim part to be extremely messy since it took place at the swimming pool. But it turned out quite well because the swimmers kept to the right. So essentially no collision unless overtaking, which was not that difficult either. Did an average pace for the swim, with my first event that im using bilateral breathing. I felt good, because unlike previously where I was using 4 strokes/breath(easily out of breath), this was just right for me. To alternate sides also enabled my neck not to stiffen on my right. I doubt I'll be using 2 stroke/breath coz the oxygen will be too much for me, since I'm using PowerBreathe my vol. of oxygen per breath would be higher as well.
The run was 5km which took place on the track(12laps). Pretty good because I can pace myself and I'm proud to say that no one overtook me!! weeee..
Met slqx for lunch and hung around tampines to check out some of her girly stuff which I have no clue or advice to give. Hope that everything will go well for her at the new job!!
